First State Bank
History:
The First State Bank was chartered in 1906. 2 years later, the bank was located at a brick building, and is located at 211 Liberty Street in Downtown Montgomery.
It offered the usual bank services and also sold insurance. The bank's highest assets was in 1917 bringing in $191,000. However, after the Great Depression, the bank's assets were only $18,233.50.
The bank fell to robberies, and was voluntarily liquidated (to put a end to) in 1934.
